Due to thunder and rain forecast, our itinerary  schedule was changed from Portofino, which was supposed to use a ship's tender, to Genoa, where we can dock at the port. Therefore we changed our plan too. Formerly we planned to take a walk in the beautiful Portofino town, where we used to a couple of years ago, to just stay on the ship. We think that it is better than walking in Genoa amidst the rain, or driving to Portofino and spending time there  in the rain too.

Ajaccio, France

We took on the excursion to the Calanche of Piana on Corsica island, which has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They are rock outcroppings, oddly shaped granite pinnacles and pillars rising out of the sea.

Some of the rocks look like animals or people, including the one here  known as the Bride and Groom. 

On the way down the hill we can see the Spelunga Gorges from a distance.

Cagliari, Italy

We say goodbye to Cagliari before sailing to Ajaccio.
