Eia Sae

After having seasoned goose for lunch, I have a cup of coffee at "Eia Sae", which is a very famous coffee shop for Chinese/Thai people in Yaowarad for decades.

Khun Puert and Khun Sivaporn enjoys bread with butter and sugar, which goes along well with "O-Yua" (hot black coffee) and "Ka Fae Boran" (coffee with sweetened milk) at Eia Sae. The price for two slices of bread and three cups of coffee is only 65 baht, which is about the same price for one cup of coffee at Starbucks.

My 50th Birthday

Wow! I can't believe I am 50 years old today. I have never thought of the figures and always think I am still young. Sometimes I wai the younger persons because I thought they were older than me. I still like casual dressing for young generations. Blue jeans and T-shirt are my favourite. I am rather strong for my age. I try to go to the fitness club or sport club at least twice a week. I listen to pop and rock music, go to the movies, eat meat, drink wine, and do other activities not normally done by averge Thai middle-aged women. However, from now on, I will try not to forget that I am not that young. I will try to take care of my health, eat right, sleep right, play right, and think right.

To mark my 50th birthday I offer food to the monks. In Thai we call it "Tak Bart", which is the traditional way of making merits. The food consists of rice, fried green bean noodle (for long life), Thong Yod (for prosperity), flower lei, incense sticks and candles, and some money.
