We arrived at Tokyo on February 8, the day of Tokyo's worst snowstorm and heaviest snowfalls in decades. Tokyo's transportation was severely disrupted. Luckily we managed to take a train from Narita Airport to Shinjuku Station just in time before they cancelled some parts of the transportation. However, we could not find a taxi at the station to take us to the hotel because there were very few taxis, or even cars, on the street as the Japanese government told the people to stay at home. Therefore we, Dear and I, had to walk and pull two large suitcases and one medium suitcase, from Shijuku Station to Keio Plaza Hotel. We had to walk on thick layers of snow and amid very strong winds. The wind was so strong that my umbrella broke down.

We stay at Keio Plaza Tokyo Hotel, which is a very comfortable and cosy hotel.

Our first sushi dinner in the midst of snow storm.
