2nd Housewarming Party

Since my condo can accommodate a maximum of ten people at a time, it is necessary to separate friends into groups and invite them one after another. In the second Housewarming Party, guests included Khun Sivaporn and P' Rochana, Khun Pichai and Busaba, Khun Sathit and P' Rachada, Suthas, Thanom (second choice), Nong and Aor. I would like to thank all of them to have attended the party despite terrible traffic jams due to heavy afternoon rain and flood all over Bangkok. Khun Sathit, for example, was so thoroughly wet that he asked for Dear's shirt. Khun Pichai and Suthas had to walk 1.5 kilometres from Rama 4 Road, down Soi Kluey Nam Thai and through Soi 61 to the condo. And P' Rochana had to eat a couple of cherries she bought for me while she spent two hours going to my condo. Thanks everyone!

Aor and Nong helped me prepare Creme Brulee for dessert.

Boat Dinner

A gracious private Italian dinner was organised on the Sabai Cruise boat to celebrate birthdays for Dr. Sumet and Khun Bundit. The boat departed from Supakarn Condominium and sailed along the Chao Phraya River. The food was prepared by Mr Oreste of La Buca restaurant.

Wat Arun of the Temple of Dawn was very beautiful at night.

The SOCCEF members offered a birthday present to Dr. Sumet.

Wang Nam Kheo

Tua took me to Wang Nam Kheo for the second time. We went there a month ago to see the country and were interested in a large plot of land not far from the district office. In this picture Tua was standing in front of the stone check dam at the end of the land.

The land was full of beautiful wild flowers.

Moving

Today I move from the house in Soi Sukhumvit 65, where I have lived for over 20 years, to the condominium in Soi Sukhumvit 61. Although I am pleased that everything is going to be settled, I am rather saddened to leave the house where I used to live for a very long time.

Take the last look at the house.

The terrace where we like to hang around in the late afternoon.

The maid is watering the trees for the last time.

The living room where we always hang around sitting, lying, talking, watching TV, etc.

The dining room where we eat.

The study room where I used to read, write, and work on documents.
