Odaiba

There happened to be a famous Japanese cartoon festival on display at Odaiba at the time we arrived. Hundreds of Jap animation fans flocked patiently trying to enter the festival.

We had Ramen at lunch time at Venus Fort Shopping Mall at Odaiba.

The replica of the Statue of Liberty

Harajuku

On Sunday afternoon we visited Harajuku, an area between Shinjuku and Shibuya. Harajuku has many small stores, like Soi Lalaisap in Bangkok, which caters to youth fashions. We have seen a lot of Japanese teenagers dressed in any fashion style they preferred hanging out on the streets.

Ninja Restaurant

We had dinner at Ninja Retaurant.

Dear was looking at a kind of cookies in the form of Ninja throwing stars.

We found that while other dishes were average, the Japanese beef steak there was great!

Beef Rice near the Roppongi Hills

C&C, the famous fast food curry rice, is located inside the Shinjuku Station. The food there was very good and very cheap. We ate there three times during our five days at Tokyo.

Tokyo - December 2008

Dear and I went to Tokyo, Japan. The purpose of this trip was, frankly, to eat Japanese food.

We stayed at Shiragawago Hotel in Kabukijo in Shinjuku. The hotel is small but cheap and very convenient as it is only 10 minutes walk to the Shinjuku Station.

Tokyu Hands is my favourite shopping place.

Dear, as I called him the "Silent Guide", looked at the compass I bought from Tokyu Hands in order to assist him to find the correct paths and not to get lost.

Sushi

Dear guaranteed the sushi at Ougi Sushi in Shinjuku was great!

Our favourites were Uni, Toro, and Ikura sushi.

Wang Nam Khieo

We went to Wang Nam Khieo and stayed overnight at Narisa Place, Thai Samaggi.

As there were five men and five women in our group, we rented two resort houses. The above is Baan Natavudh for the ladies. The house is new and comfortable. The environment is beautiful and quiet. There were beds, comforters and towels for everyone, with TV, hot showers, refrigerators, breakfast, etc. Narisa Place should be very famous in the future.

Vegetable farms are quite common in Wang Nam Khieo.

On the way back home, we stopped at Jim Thompson Farm, 50 kilometres from Wang Nam Khieo. The Farm is opened for the public during the New Year Season. However, since it was very crowded, we just walked around and took some pictures.

The next Bond movie to be released soon.

Num Heang, Kabinburi

On the way to Wang Nam Kheo, Dear and I had lunch at Num Heang Restaurant at Kabinburi. In the picture, Dear is very pleased with the grilled river prawn, which is the signature dish there.

Our Wang Nam Kheo Land

White cowboy fences are being built to mark the territory of our land.

The bridge across the creek has been repaired.

It was the first time that Dear was here. He seemed to like his piece of land and the beautiful creek adjacent to the land. The creek has recently been expanded wider, causing more flowing water, so much that we could hear the sound of the water there. Another thing he liked was the good phone reception at the land.

We happened to meet Luk Pla, Boo, and their son at the land.

Two big ponds have been dug on Luk Pla's and Khun Paweena's land, which enhances the beauty of their properties.

Dear tried to take photos of the beautiful wildflowers..
