Getting back to Tokyo we attended Hanazono Shrine Festival. Located only a few minutes on foot from the Shinjuku Station, Hanazono is considered the most important shrine of Shinjuku, involving inhabitants, merchants, craftsmen and artists.

Kaiseki dinner (again)

Sunday, November 11, 2018

We took a bus from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko. Before heading to the hotel, we had lunch at Tempura Restaurant Ninja near the Kawaguchiko Station.

We stay at Sunnide Resort, which offers a combination of hotel and ryokan, including a traditional comforts like hot spring bahts (onsen)  and full-course kaiseki dinners. The hotel is situated right next to Lake Kawaguchiko so we have a splendid view of Mount Fuji from our bedroom with nothing in between.

This photo was taken while we were taking onsen in our own bathroom in the evening before the sun went down.
Kaiseki Dinner at the hotel

Saturday, November 10, 2018

We arrived at Tokyo in the morning of November 10. From the Narita Airport we went directly to lunch at C&C Curry Shop, our favourite Japanese Curry Rice in the Shinjuku Station.

At dinner Dear wanted to try the Omakase Japanese dining. In the Omakase style of dining, chefs pick the finest seasonal ingredients and prepare the elegant and artistic meals for guests. Without reservation, we chose the Shinjuku Makoto restaurant, not very far from the Keio Plaza Hotel where we stayed. The food was very good as expected.
