Hakodate

On the seventh day we arrived at Hakodate, Hokkaido's third largest city, located at the island's southern tip. We went up the Goryokaku Tower, 107 metres tall, to see the star-shaped Goryokaku Fort, or Pentagon Fort.


Dear cheated death by standing on the clear glasses on the floor at the observation deck at the Goryakaku Tower.

In the evening we went up Mount Hakodate, 334 metres high, to see the night-time spectacular view of the city. This is claimed to be the Million Dollar View and one of the most beautiful night-time city views in the world.

Tokyo and Yokohama

Finally we came to Tokyo and Yokohama. This is the famous Tokyo Tower.

Sweet Forest

We visited Sweet Forest in Tokyo, a famous place where cake shops and dessert cafes were located. Khun Bua, our guide, and Dear were seen showing thumbs up.

The table where we ate was located outside the building. Since it was very cold and windy, blankets were provided for customers.

Tsukiji Fish Market

We went to the Tsukiji fish market at six in the morning. Tsukiji is best known as one of the world's largest fish markets, handling over 2,000 tons of marine products per day. It is also one of Tokyo's major tourists' attractions.


Dear was not interested much in the fish market but he was looking forward to the fresh sushi after this.

Shopping

Dear bought a pair of Onitsuka Tiger sneakers at a Roppongi Hills shopping mall Tokyo.


Nong got this boot on sale at only 15,000 yen at Isetan, Tokyo.

Traveling in Tokyo is pretty convenient, thanks to the mass transit trains.

Miraikan

On the last day of the trip we went to Miraikan, a National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation where the recent model of Azimo was demonstrated.

Daibutsu Temple

Khun Sivaporn and Nong Pat were appreciating the Great Buddha of Kamakura, which was located in the Daibutsu Temple.

Asakusa Temple

Khun Bua, our local guide, touched the Buddha statue to plead for stronger health.

Strawberry Farm

Before catching the plane back home, we visited a strawberry farm, where we could pick and eat strawberries as much as we liked.

There were eight ramen shops at the Ramen Museum. We chose Komurasaki Ramen Shop, the eighth Ramen shop, which is famous for its appetizing garlic chips.
